Will Smith more or less plays himself in this good-natured NBC sitcom. As the show's popular theme song explains, fictional Will's mom sends him away from his rough Philadelphia neighborhood to live with wealthy Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian in Bel-Air. Will often has fun at the expense of stuck-up cousins Carlton and Hilary.

I personally love it when reactors/reviews share their own life experiences if a syo speaks to them. It shows how it still impacts people to this day but more importantly, it makes me at least, feel more included in your series. Like becoming friends because we get to see more of yourself.

Just f.y.i, my mother has always HATED noami. Recently, she was kicked off a charity board for stealing.
The woman playing Wills mom, you saw her in The Big Bang Theory.
In the first episode she was the woman trying to solve the crossword puzzle at the spembank that Leonard and Sheldon went to. She was also the nurse behind the counter when Howard got stuck with the robot hand holding his you-know-what and also when Howard ate penauts so Leonard wouldnt get home early to his suprised birthday party.
She was also one of the original Sweathogs from "Welcome Back, Kotter" and, currently, she's hospital advocate Stella Henry on "General Hospital."

I just discovered your channel recently and it's pretty cool that you are reacting to one of my favorite sitcoms from my childhood. Believe me, the show will continue to get better and better as you continue to watch the episodes. I'm not going to spoil everything about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air since this is your first time watching it, but I will say get used to seeing plenty of running gags and also plenty of 4th wall breaking as the show is known for breaking the fourth wall. When it comes to Will's mom, she does become a recurring character on the show. I'm enjoying your reactions to this classic show from the 90s and I have a feeling you going to enjoy all six seasons of the show.

She's in The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. In both those shows she always plays the nurse in any episode where they go to a hospital.

Many I know who watching this growing up we’re expecting that if the show got a resurgence, it would be a sequel, and would start with the wake from Phil’s passing…these concepts were going around largely due to the passing of the actor
It’s a dramatized reimagining set in modern times.

For those of us that grew up in the 70's, we remember her from "Welcome Back, Kotter" as Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington's girlfriend, Vernajean Williams. She currently appears on "General Hospital" as patient advocate, Stella Henry.
Also the nurse from Young Sheldon
It's one thing to want the kids to have some responsibilities, but Vy was getting a little too uptight about the butler having to take care of things, when that is LITERALLY his job, that he's getting paid for.

It's a shame they got rid of Viv and Vy's sisters, Janice and Helen, in "Bel-Air". The fabulous Smith sisters. Only being briefly mentioned and played as different characters.

As someone who has a severely autistic brother myself i think that sometimes like my brother needs ALOT of help not all the time, but you know my mum is ALWAYS attending to him and his needs sometimes and when we go out my mum dosen’t say to me be a good girl cause i am always on my best behaviour like all the time, but my brother can sometimes mucks up when we go out or causes a scene when we go out it dosen’t do as much anymore but my mum always says to him be a good boy and we will get like a book, cause he’s like OBSESSED with books and that’s the only way to bride him sometimes.
It used to be so hard because me and mum didn’t have like any ocassionally we would have a mother and daughter day to ourselves sometimes, but i think it’s important to have time with your parent by yourself it’s sometimes hard with if you have siblings cause your parent isn’t proud of you, my mum is always proud of me, so she dosen’t say it that often but with my brother it’s a different story.
But now it’s ALOT easier for us to go out and have some mother and daughter time and i think for every child and parent that’s very important.
While I do get Vy is try instill a strong work ethic among her nephew and nieces; I think her authority in enforcing discipline is only with her son and/or in her own house.
When I saw the last episode I actually agree with Will's mom kids do need more responsibility

All I might suggest to enable viewers to make up their own minds, leaving the proverbial ball in their court…many RUclips videos have chapter markers these days…maybe have chapter markers separating the individual episodes, and also where you tell your experience stories, have a marker separating that so those who dont want to hear your awesome stories, can just chapter skip past it?

No to the oversharing of experiences please, unless they are more tied into the show seems you go off instead of sticking to stuff about the show sometimes.
Since you asked for our opinion I will say for me I would like it if you shared a little less and didn’t go on so many tangents. Sometimes it’s great to hear about your experiences and everything, but sometimes think you go a little overboard. So if I were to vote I’d say not to share so many of you personal stories. Maybe it’s just because I think you go on too long sometimes, but can always just skip so it doesn’t bother me.
I love how he is deleting comments that say no to him sharing life experiences. Saw 2 comments last night that are gone now. I just don’t get why you ask for our opinions if you won’t take the criticism seriously. If you didn’t want us to tell you how we feel why did you ask us? Like genuinely asking. Also because you literally asked us in the video, I would say tone down the sharing on life experiences. But seriously stop deleting comments or just tell us you don’t want us to be honest with you.

So there’s a thing called the fast forward button. Just skip the parts I talk about my life if you don’t like them lol. Idk how you think getting rid of that would get me more views but I do talk about the show a lot. But again you don’t have to watch that part. Hope this helps! 😁

To make it easier for people such as original poster here…add chapter markers to the gaps between episodes, and if there’s a chunk of time where you share a story, use a marker to seperate that as well, leaves the ball in their court and you went out of your way to make it easier for them

I think he's only called Lou Smith in "Bel-Air". In a later episode when she and her sisters reunite, Vivian refers to them as the Smith sisters. So that means their maiden name was Smith before they got married, Vy kept hers, and gave it to Will.
